Welcome to the New England Foot & Ankle Specialists, a Department of Mercy Hospital, located in South Portland, Maine. We specialize in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.
Under the direction of Dr. Gregory Pomeroy, a fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist, Center staff conducted thousands of successful foot and ankle procedures, and more total ankle reconstructions than any other foot and ankles than any other practice in New England.
Agility Ankle
Of particular importance to patients with severe ankle maladies is the recent surgical break-through involving total ankle replacement and the DePuy "Agility Ankle." Unlike a traditional ankle fusion procedure, total ankle replacement permits complete ankle reconstruction and nearly full ankle mobility upon recovery. To accommodate patient work commitments, we schedule a limited number of evening appointments every Tuesday from 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Insurance coverage and payment arrangements must be verified before appointments are scheduled.
